This year I am celebrating my 25th anniversary providing original strength-based training, resources, and consultation to parents and professionals guiding kids with emotional & behavioral challenges. The positive, trauma-informed, strength-based approach I teach truly transforms lives and is supported by some of the most cutting edge research in our field.
New Website – New Look
In December we launched our new website. The new site has an online store, updated training/workshop information, tools, testimonials, my training schedule and much more!
We recently released the revised edition of my book No Such Thing as a Bad Kid: Understanding and Responding to Kids with Emotional & Behavioral Challenges Using a Positive, Strength-Based Approach
Sales have been strong. We just ordered a second printing. Numerous special education departments have purchased copies for each of their staff members. Colleges throughout North America are using it in their classes.
Purchase the book though our website or at amazon.com. We also offer an ebook. If you would like to order multiple copies for your group, please contact us directly at email@example.com to receive a significant discount and free shipping.
“This book can change lives.”

It Has Been a Great Year!
As a training specialist, this past year has been joyful and rewarding. From addressing 500 educators in Winnipeg, MB, and numerous other school districts, to working with hundreds of juvenile detention workers in Bakersfield, CA, to visiting many residential programs throughout the US and Canada…it’s been a gratifying year.
My most requested presentation remains: No Such Thing as a Bad Kid: Understanding and Responding to Kids with Emotional and Behavioral Challenges Using a Positive, Trauma-Informed, Strength-Based Approach
I am, however, more and more, being asked to present my workshop titled: “Use the Force, Luke!” Managing Number One and Staying Motivated to Make a Difference.
After all, you can’t manage kids until you first learn to manage yourself.
Read descriptions of both presentations.
“One of our therapists said she had tears of joy in her eyes
listening to you – she felt inspired!! Great stuff!”
“Charlie, you had such a big impact on our team. Thank you.Every member shared with me that you were the “best” presenter we ever had. I know staff walked away better, with a new mindset!
